Internships at AmeriHealth Caritas District of Columbia
AmeriHealth Caritas District of Columbia invests in its community through internship opportunities. Our internship programs broaden our interns’ understanding of a national health care organization and the impact on its communities through hands-on learning experiences.
We strive to develop interns into enviable candidates for health care professions. We’re always partnering with the community to bring employment opportunities to local young professionals. Check back often to find new openings.
Pathways to Work
Pathways to Work is a 14-week paid internship at AmeriHealth Caritas through a partnership with the YWCA. Interns will gain practical work experience in a health care setting and will receive a nationally recognized certification in Hospitality and Guest Services Gold. Interns will develop as employees through technical trainings and weekly seminars. The program provides 90 days of follow-up support once the formal internship concludes. This ensures that interns have all of the resources necessary for their success.
Apply now: Fill out a Pathways to Work Internship Application (PDF) and send it to email@example.com along with a current resume and one letter of recommendation from a previous employer or someone who can speak to your character.
Summer Internship Program
The Summer Internship Program is coordinated through the AmeriHealth Caritas headquarters in Philadelphia. Our office selects and employs local candidates from the identified pool for 10 – 12 weeks each summer. The internship consists of projects, development opportunities, exposure to senior leadership, and mentors to provide guidance and feedback.
Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program
AmeriHealth Caritas District of Columbia is proud to partner with the Mayor Marion S. Barry Summer Youth Employment Program. This six-week program provides District of Columbia youth with the tools necessary to work in a professional environment. Interns at our company will have the opportunity to explore the health care industry and develop both as employees and as individuals.
