Preventive health resources

AmeriHealth Caritas DC works to partner with you, our participating providers, to prevent enrollee illnesses through checkups, screenings, immunizations and other preventive care services.

We encourage enrollees to visit your offices regularly. Likewise, we encourage you to remind our enrollees of steps they can follow to take charge of their health.

Prompt enrollees to return for future checkups. Make sure patients know when they're due for another round of vaccinations. Help us prevent the development of serious diseases and disorders in the District's Medicaid population.

As you help our enrollees, here's how we can help you:

• Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) / HealthCheck
• Early intervention and children with special needs / IDEA
• Required screenings
• Transportation services for Medicaid enrollees

 Immunization schedules

• Adult contraindications and precautions
• Adult schedule, by vaccine and age group
• Catch-up schedule
• Recommended vaccinations indicated for adults based on medical and other indications
• Schedule for persons birth through 18 years
